About National Federation of House Owners, Norway
The National Federation of House Owners in Norway (HL) is a nation wide organisation for owners of private houses, apartments and holiday cabins. We also organise landlords and professional real estate managers.
National Federation of House Owners attends to the needs of homeowners as well as landlords both on a local, regional and national level.
HL provides basic legal, technical and economic advice to all members free of charge. Furthermore HL provides valuable discount agreements, whereby members can save considerable more than the price of the membership fee. Such discount agreements include for instance insurance, mortgages, heating, gasoline, electricity, sale of property, property evaluation, etc.
Private membership costs NOK 460.- per calendar year.
Estate managers, condominiums and landlords pay between NOK 830.- and 2300.- per year, depending on the size of the estate.

HL’s membership magazine, Hus & Bolig (House and Home), offers six annual issues, sent to the home address of our members free of charge.
HL is organized in 23 district organisations, which arrange meetings and courses for local members and look after their interests versus local government and media. Each district organisation has a representative who is responsible for looking after the welfare of the local membership.

The main office of HL is situated in Fred. Olsens gate 5 in Oslo. The secretariat has 25 employees and the managing director is Mr. Peter Batta.
HL is associated to The International Union of Property Owners (UIPI).
HL also has a strong cooperation with other property owners’ organisations in Sweden and Denmark.
